Help Shape DrawR

We're looking to make DrawR even better and we need your help. From time to time you'll notice a survey on this blog that will ask for your opinion on what kind of features, or improvements you're most interested in. Take a moment to give us your opinion, and help shape what DrawR will become.

12,217 Downloads!

Wow - we're so jazzed that we've had so many downloads since Friday night. The cult of iPhone / Touch is amazing. So with all this attention, I want to announce that Joe and I are working on enhancements. What we've got cooking may take a little while, but it will be worth the wait. Until then, please spread the word and have fun using DrawR. Don't forget to upload your art work to the flickr community! DrawR in Action!

Tip #1, DrawRing on a Photo

Hey all! Just thought I'd pass a 'lil tip along. If you want to draw on a photo, instead of using the photo as a tracing image, then simply load it from the settings menu. It's now a part of the canvas. If you shake, or start a new DrawRing, it disappears just like the pen marks normally would. No worries though,  we create a copy of your imported pic, so the original is safe.

We have a flickr Group

Hey folks! In an effort to facilitate the fun factor in DrawR, We've set up a flickr group for all you masterpieces. If you're not a flickr member, you should be - its free and pretty cool. To see our group just follow 'dis here link: DrawR in Action . Come on in and show us what you got!

DrawR Splash Screen

DrawR Splash Screen
Originally uploaded by Ben Northern

The countdown is almost here. We're doing some debugging right now, but I figured I'd share what our splash screen will look like. Notice the tracks on either side. Sliding your fingers (thumbs work best) up and down will move the pen tip either horizontally or vertically.

More to Come

Almost Ready for Prime Time

Folks, we're almost ready for the first release of DrawR for the iphone and iPod Touch. Don't know what DrawR is? Well, simply put its an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that you can draw with.  You can use track pads to draw horizontal and vertical lines, or use your finger. You can change the thickness of the pen tip, and the color. Even take a photo, or import an existing photo to use as a tracing reference. Save your masterpiece to your iPhone or iPod Touch's photo gallery. You can even load an image to continue your work. How friggin' cool is that?
